There is so much food here on the island – that’s the good news! The challenge, we believe, is in the distribution from the farmers and the gardeners, to market or to share with others that might, in turn, share some of their own goods. That’s the better news – it’s under our control! Our intention is to connect with our neighbor farmers and gardeners, facilitate transportation once a week to pick up what they might share that they have in abundance, bring back to our farm to assemble mixed packages of all the variety offered, and re-distribute to those that contributed.
And other than a small fee to cover the cost of the vehicle use, this food “shopping” is off the cash grid – contributing to a simple sustainable economic system. Here is the form to register participation:
