In our part of the island, it’s solar and wind, and on our property, when the river runs with the force that is typical when they let the water through the damn, we have the potential for hydro power as well. During heavy rain the river flow is Magnificent, even ominous, such that shoring up our bridges is a pending task.

Renewable building material, wood, is currently guava – our property has an abundance we have yet to tap into. Upcoming bamboo plantings along the roadside will yield on-going durable building material of assorted widths, and therefore a range of strength and flexibility.
